This accredited short course is designed to develop the skills and knowledge required to assist a casualty suffering a severe allergic reaction, by the administration of the casualty’s own adrenalin supply through a controlled dose of injecting device (Epipen) until the arrival of medical assistance.

Course Length: 45min pre-course online component

Course Audience: This course is based on the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and the Australian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) Action Plans and advice, and will give you the skills to:

recognise, treat and manage a severe life threatening allergic reaction
correctly use adrenaline auto-injectors
develop risk minimisation plans, anaphylaxis policies and communication plans

  • Anaphylaxis: $60.00 AUD paid by Student (upfront payment)

“Rev” the super dog and “The Rescue Squad” are ready to teach children in Grades 3-6 the basics of First Aid. Children will also receive a certificate, a wordsearch and a colouring-in activity to colour in Rev the super dog.
