Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace is an accredited short course designed to develop an awareness of asthma triggers, equipment, treatment and action plans. This course will provide the knowledge and skills needed to administer the reliever medication in an asthma attack and develop a working knowledge of the management of asthma in the workplace.
45 minutes plus pre-course online component
Course Audience: Asthma affects 1 in 9 children, (Asthma Australia July 2019). It is important that staff in schools, kindergartens and child caring services have the knowledge to put in place strategies to minimise the impact of asthma and the skills and confidence to manage an asthma emergency until medical assistance arrives.
